School of Rock is a high-energy musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Julian Fellowes, based on the hit 2003 film. It follows Dewey Finn, a struggling, wannabe rock star who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Instead of traditional lessons, Dewey transforms his straight-laced students into a rock band to compete in a local Battle of the Bands. With themes of self-expression, empowerment, and the transformative power of music, School of Rock is a fun, heartwarming show filled with infectious songs and electrifying kid-powered performances.

Hairspray is a vibrant, feel-good musical with music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman, and a book by Mark O’Donnell and Thomas Meehan. Set in 1960s Baltimore, the story follows Tracy Turnblad, a big-hearted teen with big hair and even bigger dreams of dancing on The Corny Collins Show. When she wins a spot on the show, Tracy uses her newfound fame to fight for racial integration and acceptance. Full of catchy songs, lively dance numbers, and messages about equality and self-love, Hairspray is a joyful celebration of standing up for what’s right and dancing to your own beat.

Pippin is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Broadway’s Wicked) and a book by Roger O. Hirson. It tells the story of a young prince named Pippin, the son of Charlemagne, who is on a quest to find meaning and purpose in his life. Guided by a mysterious performance troupe led by the charismatic Leading Player, Pippin explores various paths—war, power, pleasure, and domestic life—in his search for fulfillment. With a mix of humor, heart, and theatrical flair, Pippin blends fantasy and reality, ultimately challenging the audience to consider what it means to live an extraordinary life.

Urinetown: The Musical is a satirical comedy with music by Mark Hollmann and lyrics by Hollmann and Greg Kotis, who also wrote the book. Set in a dystopian future where a severe water shortage has led to a government ban on private toilets, citizens must pay to use public restrooms controlled by a greedy corporation. The story follows young hero Bobby Strong as he leads a rebellion against the system. With sharp wit and self-aware humor, Urinetown parodies musical theater conventions while tackling themes like capitalism, environmental crisis, and social justice.
